CHP/Cogeneration

  • Cleaner, less expensive than other non-renewable fuels, and is considerably efficient.

  • CHP/Cogeneration is effective in reducing costs when used to power a commercial, institutional, or industry establishments. This is because electricity from the main utility source is a far more expensive.

  • Natural gas is readily available in large cities since it is delivered directly through pipelines. Hence, when using natural gas powered generators, storage of fuel becomes redundant.

  • With CHP/Cogeneration, heat energy is produced in addition to electricity. Combined heat and power CHP¬†systems, also known as cogeneration, generate electricity and useful thermal energy in a single, integrated¬†system.
